🎨 Course Description This 6-week pottery course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new hobby, refine their skills, and meet like-minded people! Work in a fun and supportive environment while making functional, personalized pieces for your home. 🌟 🏺 Course Schedule| Every Wednesday in April at 6:30pm, each session going ~2 hours + Flex time class in may for glazing) | $190 Week 1 (Wednesday April 2nd) — Throwing Part 1: Centering clay, creating balanced cylinders, and basic bowls. 🏺 Week 2 (Wednesday April 9th) — Coil Building: Learn hand-building techniques to create mugs, bowls, or sculptures. 🌀 Week 3 (Wednesday April 16th) — Throwing Part 2: Refine your throwing skills, focusing on taller, even walls and detailed shapes. 🏺 Week 4 (Wednesday April 23rd) — Throwing Part 3: Learn trimming techniques and how to add footers (bases) to your pieces. ✂️🖌️ Week 5 (Wednesday April 30th) — Skill Recap & Refinement: We’ll review everything you’ve learned so far, help you refine your skills, and guide you through creating your final pieces. This session will also cover glazing techniques and walk you through the final steps of the ceramic process, including the details of firing and finishing your pieces. We’ll go over the technical aspects of glazing and firing, ensuring you understand how to bring your creations to life. 🎨✨ Week 6 (Flexible Glazing Time in May 🌺) — We offer flexible glazing times for you to add custom designs to your pieces using brush glazing techniques. You’ll receive up to 4 hours of studio time (across 2 sessions) in May to finalize and glaze your pieces. 🖌️🎨 🛠 Materials Each student will be provided with their own pottery tool kit to keep for future projects! 🔧🖌️ 💡 Why Small Classes Matter With a maximum of 13 students per class, you'll receive personalized instruction, hands-on practice, and the opportunity to connect with fellow pottery enthusiasts. Most students create 5-6 pieces, with a hard limit of 7 to ensure there’s space for everyone’s work. 🤝👩‍🎨 This 6-week pottery course is a perfect way to dive into the world of ceramics, meet new people, and create beautiful, handmade pieces.
